  Announcing the winners for 2013 Blue Planet Prize
  
  Today, the winners of the 22nd Blue Planet Prize were announced at the press conference held in Tokyo.
  
  The winners are
  
  ■Dr. Taroh Matsuno ( Japan )
    Principal Scientist, Research Institute for Global Change, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology
  
  ■Dr. Daniel Sperling ( USA )
    Professor, University of California, Davis
  
  The commemorative lectures by thewinners will be held at the United Nations University (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) on October 31 (Thursday).
