  2012 Blue Planet Prize Commemorative Lectures held
  
  

  On November 1, the award recipients delivered commemorative lectures at U Thant International Conference Hall at the United Nations University in Tokyo.

  In the first section, Professor William E. Rees presented a lecture on the topic of "Carrying Capacity, Globalization and the Unsustainable Entanglement of Nations," Dr. Mathis Wackernagel presented a lecture on the topic of "A Wild Solution for Climate Change."

  

   

  In the second section, Dr. Thomas E. Lovejoy gave a lecture titled "A Wild Solution for Climate Change."
