Program Overview
The Asahi Glass Foundation has implemented four grant programs in Japan in 2019 applications as follows.
Information for new applicants is announced in around June. The application documents (in Japanese) are available for download from
our Japanese website. The deadlines for the application are in August-September (Deadlines vary with the program and the field).
For overseas research grants, applicants must be researchers in Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi or Institut Teknologi Bandung, and recommended by these universities.

Full-time researchers in universities in Japan, including their affiliated research laboratories and colleges of technology, who are playing a leading role in research. Fixed-term researchers may apply under guidelines provided by the Foundation. |

Awardees are chosen by the Selection Committee in each category based on a review of written applications and interviews with applicants. Research Encouragement Grants are awarded on the basis of a review of written
applications only. |
